Özet

This work uses an Antipodal Vivaldi antenna with a sub-surface microwave imaging (SSMWI) scenario to investigate and propose a new SSMWI system. The designed antenna operates from 0.7 to 3 GHz with a maximum gain of 6.29 dBi suitable for SSMWI applications. Antenna properties such as the ground's distance, number of antennas, size, and coupling between the antennas are investigated. The final SSMWI scenario consists of 12 antennas placed 8 cm above the ground with a distance of 11 cm between each antenna. The ground is considered dry sand (relative permittivity =2.44) with an object(s) placed underneath. Lastly, with the help of the truncated singular value decomposition (TSVD) algorithm, objects with different properties (shape and size) buried under the ground are reconstructed.
