Özet
Detection of vital signs with high accuracy is crucial for the success of search and rescue operations. Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radar sensors have been utilized for the detection of vital signs due to their short detection time, high penetration capability, and low energy consumption characteristics. In this study, a contactless detection system based on a UWB radar sensor module was designed and analyzed to detect human vital signs. Contactless detection requires the implementation of background noise elimination, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) filtering, and Moving Target Indicator (MTI) filtering due to the risk of noise and clutter. From the noise-cleaned data, the detection of the target's distance was established, and vital signs such as heart rate and respiration signals were determined using the Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) algorithm. The designed vital sign detection algorithm was tested with experimental data obtained using the PulsON 440 UWB radar.
