Özet

A study was conducted, using propargyl groups as thermally reactive click component, to side-chain benzoxazine functional polymers. The simple click reaction route had the unique feature of being quantitative and preserving the benzoxazine ring structure. It was observed that polymers cured through simple click process exhibited more thermal stability than those of the structurally similar cross-linked polymers, prepared by simple polymerization reactions in the presence of a conventional cross-linking agent. Polymers cured with the click process provided certain significant characteristics, such as low water absorption and high dimensional stability due to near-zero shrinkage after their treatment with the simple click process.
