Özet
This study offers an initial evaluation of site effects within regions impacted by the February 2023 earthquakes in Turkey. It develops a preliminary response spectrum site amplification model, alongside probabilistic seismic hazard analysis and 1D site response analyses (SRAs) specifically focused on a site in Hatay. The model suggests higher site factors in softer sites for 0.2 sec, contrasting with other conditions. Results demonstrate that surface spectra derived from 1D SRAs and site-specific uniform hazard spectrum are consistently lower than Turkish Earthquake Building Code (TEBC) design spectrum across all considered periods, indicating the necessity for a detailed reassessment of TEBC specifications.
