Özet

In this study, a non-thermal, high density atmospheric pressure plasma was used to improve antistatic properties of nylon 6,6 fabrics. Nylon 6,6 fabrics were first treated with He plasma and then treated with diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC) monomer and a crosslinker di(ethylene glycol) diacrylate solution. Fabrics were then treated with He plasma to graft polymerize the monomer on the fiber surface. Surface resistivities, electrostatic charge generation/dissipation of fabrics were measured before and after soxhlet extraction with water and after washing. UV-Vis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analyses were carried on fabrics to confirm the graft polymerization. Results showed that the nano-layer coating is still present after extraction and after washing the fabric keeps major amount of it.
