N2 - This work evaluates the solubility and average enthalpy of dissolution of sulfur dioxide in heat transfer oil in the temperature range of (293.15 to 313.15) K at 101.3 kPa. The heat transfer oil is a commercial product, consisting primarily of noncyclic and cyclic alkanes. In this study, solubility is expressed in four different units; Henry's constant, Ostwald's coefficient, sulfur dioxide mole fraction, and grams of solute in unit volume of solvent at 101.3 kPa pressure with solubility-temperature relations in the working temperature range.
