Özet

An experimental study of selecting a suitable material that could be used in an experimental research on internal fixation of fractured long bones, was performed. Screw Stripping Tests were carried out with standard orthopedic screws and plates used in surgery, on both human bones and various wooden materials. The results showed that the poplar wood had the best appropriate insertion and tightening behavior compared with the human bone.
