Özet

In this study, the differential quadrature method is used for the static analysis of laminated plates with variable thickness. The plate is considered to be thin and classical plate theory is used when formulating the problem. Both linear and parabolic thickness variations are considered. The simply supported and clamped boundary conditions are considered. The displacement and strain distributions are compared with the ones obtained by using the ANSYS. The results are found to be in an agreement. The effect of taper ratio on the displacement and strain distributions are investigated.
