Solution of 3D Electromagnetic Diffraction Problem by PEC Circular Double Disks Using the Method of Auxiliary Sources

Özet

In this paper, we investigate the electromagnetic diffraction characteristics of 3D perfect electric conductor (PEC) parallel circular double disks illuminated by a Hertzian dipole with arbitrary polarization. The problem is solved by applying the method of auxiliary sources (MAS), which simplifies complex electromagnetic field problems by utilizing auxiliary sources to represent the scattered fields. The numerical results, obtained by developing a MATLAB-based simulation package, examine the frequency characteristics and field distributions for different planes. This study provides insights into resonant characteristics and diffraction patterns, which have significant implications for optimizing and designing resonators used in applications such as radar, antenna and satellite communication systems.
