abstract = "This paper describes the feasibility of a large high speed doubly fed induction generator. The equivalent circuit parameters are found and both steady state and short circuit conditions are analyzed. Two cases are considered as faults, the three phase rotor short circuit and the single phase rotor short circuit. Short circuit currents, induced voltages in the rotor windings and the torque characteristics during these faults are examined.",
