Özet
In this study, biomass in the form of rapeseed cake was pyrolyzed in a fixed bed stainless steel reactor under static atmosphere at varying temperatures of 450, 550, 650, 750, and 850°C and at heating rates of either 15°C min-1 or 25°C min-1. The studies reported here were aimed towards understanding the influence of heating rate and pyrolysis temperature on product yield. The maximum oil yield was observed to be evolving at 650°C pyrolysis temperature and at a heating rate of 15°C min-1. The results showed the potential of rapeseed cake as an important source of alternative liquid fuel.
