Özet
In this study, a TiO₂/WO₃ catalyst was produced via solution combustion synthesis, which is a low-cost method. The obtained catalyst was calcined at 600 °C for 2 h. The photocatalytic degradation of malachite green under simulated sunlight was investigated. Various parameters such as the catalyst-to-pollutant ratio, H₂O₂ addition, and different water media were examined. A degradation efficiency of 82.83% was achieved within 120 min. Scavenger experiments revealed that superoxide radicals (•O₂⁻) and hydroxyl radicals (•OH) play the dominant roles in the degradation of malachite green. The produced catalyst was characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and SEM-EDS analyses.
