Özet
In the present work, adsorption of basic red 46 (BR46) by nano-sized montmorillonite (MMT)/calcium alginate (CA) composite was optimized using central composite design. The maximum dye removal of 85.07% was obtained at an initial dye concentration of 30mgL-1, adsorbent dosage of 2gL-1, contact time of 60min and temperature of 25°C. The adsorption capacity decreased with decreasing both initial pH and mixing speed. The pseudo-second order kinetic model had the highest correlation coefficient (R2=1.00). Based on the Langmuir isotherm model, the maximum adsorption capacity of MMT/CA was about 35mgg-1.
