Özet
Microalgae based CO2-sequestration is one of the promising technologies for the capture and utilization of CO2 emitted by power plants. In this study, the technical feasibility and the economic viability of a CO2 capture system integrated with a fossilfuel- fired power plant, based on microalgae bio-fixation are evaluated. It can be claimed that under 12:12 photoperiod and with 80% microalgal CO2 recovery, it might be possible to recover annually 209 kt of CO2 from a 7/24 operational lignite-fired power plant of 50 MWe.
