Özet
One of the most important issues affecting, underground coal mining, safety is coal spontaneous combustion. To ensure the mine safety, parameter causing the coal oxidation should be monitored in advance and if it is needed preventing acts should be performed. In this paper the activities performed to identify coal spontaneous combustion, in C-02 panel of Polyak Eynez underground lignite mine, is described. And also, the preventing acts performed to reduce the risk of coal oxidation is described. This procedure is very important in turkey's coal mining and the results are published in this paper.
