Özet

Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is a decision support system for real-time monitoring and reporting of the behavior and structural integrity of civil engineering structures against earthquakes or other destructive effects through sensors. In the last 30 years, many studies have focused on the instantaneous assessment of the damage status of structures based on the data collected from structures by various devices such as sensors and accelerometers. In this study, a Probable Maximum Loss (PML) based structural health monitoring methodology is proposed for a single-story precast reinforced concrete industrial building using damage-loss functions and fragility curves. The calculation of PML values is performed using fragility curves and consequence models. Four different fragility curves are obtained for the considered single-story precast reinforced concrete industrial building. Peak ground acceleration (PGA) and spectral acceleration (Sa) are used as earthquake intensity parameters, while damage index (DI) and maximum inter-story drift ratio (MIDR) are considered as damage measure (DM) parameters. Four different damage-to-loss functions were used to obtain loss results from structural damage analysis. For structural damage assessment and decision-making mechanism, threshold values based on the PML range were defined. Then, for the critical PML value obtained, the damage condition of the considered structure is evaluated.
