Özet
The notes in various archives and collections point toward the existence of different musical pieces, for which the name "Bülbül" is linked to the term peşrev. These peşrevs, the first examples of which were seen in the musical manuscripts prepared by Ali Ufkî in the 17th century, were also transferred to the important sources of Turkish music in these centuries, such as Kantemiroǧlu Edvari and Kevserî Mecmuasi in the 18th century. However, notes titled "Bülbül Peşrevi" were found in a music book prepared by Giuseppe Donizetti in the 19th century and among the retail notes published by Notaci Haci Emin Efendi in the following years. In addition, manuscripts and printed notes in various archives and collections reveal the existence of musical pieces with similar names in a period extending to the 20th century. Field studies carried out in Anatolia also indicate that musical pieces with similar names are found in folk culture. This study aims to analyze the musical works recorded under the name of "Bülbül Peşrevi" and similar names as a case and to reveal new information regarding these works through the primary sources of Turkish music.
