Özet

Carbon nanotubes play a significant role in the developing field of nanotechnology due to their unique nanostructures. They are the stiffest and strongest fibers known compared to other fiber materials. Their outstanding properties enable them to be used for a wide range of applications. It is well-known that carbon nanotubes embedded in composites are seldom appear as straight inclusions but they typically have significant waviness or curvature along the nanotubes length. In order to assess the impact of the nanotube waviness on the mechanical behavior of carbon nanotubes, a single-walled curved carbon nanotube for in-plane loading model is developed within the framework of nonlocal elasticity. The principal matrix is obtained. The results of this study highlight the considerable importance of nonlocal effects on a single-walled curved CNT for in-plane loading.
