Özet
In this study, hydraulic fracturing (HF) operations are re-modelled with discrete fracture network(DFN) approach taking into account natural fractures by input parameters utilized in FracMan software. HF operations are mainly designed by core data from wells. This paper presents that new operation designs are built with DFN according to geomechanical features obtained from outcrop samples of the tight sandstone formation. Comparison of field data and simulation results of DFN model in FracMan are introduced. HF operations are performed in two different wells targeted to tight sandstone formation. Reservoir model is created with data from well logs, core analysis of the wells. Input values used in commercial simulations are also entered as input in DFN model so to be able to compare results of both models. Outcrop samples are extracted from Ordovician aged tight sandstone formation. These samples are exposured to laboratory test to get geomechanical properties such as elasticity modulus, Poisson’s ratio. Obtained parameters are utilized as input for DFN simulations. Simulation results created by outcrop samples and field outcomes are also analyzed. By this study, it is expected to decrease field costs and nonproductive time for coring operations in case of results of outcrop samples are alike with data extracted from core analysis. If there is a correlation between outcrop samples and core data, samples could be directly used from surface deposits of the relevant formation. It is highly considered that models created by DFN which enables to create more realistic reservoir and fracture structures reflect more accurate results.
