Özet

In this paper, a quasi-generalized singular perturbation technique (quasi-GSP), which is a newly developed model-order reduction method, is applied to the F16-aircraft flight model. This method combines the best features of two well-known model-order reduction techniques; namely, the balanced truncation (BT) and the balanced residualization (BR) techniques. It preserves the matching capability of BT at high frequencies and the matching capability of BR at low frequencies to a certain degree, according to a parameter chosen in the model-order reduction process. By using the frequency and the step responses of the aircraft model to be considered, this double matching property of the quasi-GSP method is illustrated, and its effectiveness compared with other methods is explained in terms of analysis and design problems.
