Özet

Connection of embedded generation units, energy storage systems and EVs into distribution networks provide several benefits from the view point of environmental conditions, power producers and customers, however create several technical problems for the protection and control of the distribution networks. Developments in the computer and data communications technologies create several opportunities to overcome these technical difficulties. This paper will discuss the present applications and future suggestions of IEC 61850 communications protocols in the field of protection and control. Integrated protection systems using IEC61850 protocol, its applications and future suggestions will be considered for the protection of microgrids.
