Mevcut Yapıların Depreme Hazırlık Değerlendirmesi: Bingöl İli Örneği

In Turkey, where earthquakes are experienced intensely, the principles of earthquake resistant building design are one of the most important factors to be considered. Located at the intersection of the North Anatolian and Eastern Anatolian faults, which threaten a large part of Turkey in terms of earthquake hazard, Bingol province is one of the cities that should be ready for an earthquake. For this purpose, a survey consisting of 18 questions was conducted with 107 people residing in the city center of Bingol, which includes the earthquake preparedness assessment of existing buildings. The answers given based on the principles stated in the earthquake codes and the results of previous studies were evaluated. The results obtained were examined with their justifications. Situations such as cantilevered floors, overhangs, presence of shops on the ground floors are negative situations in terms of the earthquake behaviour of the buildings. On the other hand, the fact that the building stock is young indicates that there are relatively more buildings ready for earthquake.
