Özet
This article applies to an attempt to optimise the settings of the air jet weft insertion parameters in a tulle manufacturer's continuous-filament weaving machine. Tables 1 and 2 show weaving machine specifications and fabric construction respectively, while tables 3 and 4 show results obtained. Fifty-five observations were made on each of eight machines to measure the results of winding changes (number of windings). Setting optimisation is discussed in detail. While the results show that optimisation was successful and can increase productivity, it comes at an unspecified cost increase due to greater air consumption leading to greater energy consumption.
