Özet
Dry-type transformers are widely used in various industrial, commercial, and residential applications due to their enhanced safety, ease of maintenance, and environmental friendliness. However, their performance and reliability can be influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and altitude. This paper investigates the effect of altitude on the operational characteristics of dry-type transformers, specifically focusing on their electrical properties and thermal design. At higher altitudes, the reduced atmospheric pressure and lower oxygen levels pose challenges to the heat dissipation and dielectric strength of the transformer. The study explores the impact of these factors on transformer design and performance, providing an in-depth analysis of the modifications required for transformers operating at high altitudes. Experimental data is presented to highlight the variations in temperature rise and overall efficiency of dry-type transformers at different altitudes. The findings aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of how altitude influences transformer performance and offer recommendations for adapting transformer specifications to optimize operation in high-altitude environments while meeting international standards.
