Özet

In this study a three-layered metamaterial absorber solar cell, which has a broadband high absorption rate, is designed aiming to contribute to renewable energy production and enhance the efficiency of standard solar cells. The optical properties of the design were analyzed using numerical methods. It has been observed that the designed metamaterial solar cell has absorption rate exceeding 86% in the 100 - 1000 THz frequency range. The obtained absorption data were combined with photovoltaic parameter calculations under AM1.5 spectrum standards, resulting in a short-circuit current (Jsc) of 59.69 mA/cm2 and an efficiency (η) of 33.66%. It has been demonstrated that this design possesses significant potential for solar energy applications due to its high efficiency, environmentally friendly characteristics, and cost-effectiveness.
