Özet

In satellite applications, the active operational time of the satellite is largely dependent on the lifespan of the battery. The charge and discharge currents of the battery have a significant impact on its lifespan. Therefore, power converters used in power supplies must be designed with this in mind to prevent the battery from being exposed to large currents. The power converter proposed in this study has been developed to enable energy transfer from the battery to the supercapacitor while the ATTR (Advanced Target Tracking Radar) load is active. With this approach, it is possible to reduce the amplitudes of charge and discharge currents, thereby extending the battery life and increasing the satellite's mission duration. Additionally, this converter can vary the input voltage without encountering stability issues. The mathematical model of this new converter, which combines the Weinberg and buck converters, has been provided, simulated, and its results have been presented.
