Özet

In this work, the effects of rnineral admixtures on the mechanical properties, including the fracture properties, and the rapid chloride permeability of concrete were investigated. Three different rnineral admixtures namely, finely ground fly ash, finely ground granulated blast fumace slag and silica fume were used. Two series of concretes with water/binder ratios of 0.27 and 0.35 were produced, and eight different mixtures including the control concrete were investigated. The replacement of porti and cement by mineral admixtures provided an increase in the strength values especially at later ages white making the material more brittle which was clearly observed at the fracture energy tests. The permeability properties were also significantly improved with the usage of rnineral admixtures especially silica fume, while the pores have been refined and the pore structure has changed.
