Özet

Determining the oxygen level in the blood is critically important for ensuring the proper functioning of the body and monitoring the status of many diseases. One of the applications of photoacoustic tomography (FAT), a hybrid medical imaging technique, is the determination of oxygen saturation ( SpO2) value in blood. Oxyhemoglobin ( HbO2) and deoxyhemoglobin ( HbR) in the blood have different absorption coefficients and the SpO2 value can be determined by measuring the photoacoustic signals produced by them at different amplitudes. In this study, a measurement setup that can detect SpO2 value in blood with FAT was designed and a new technique was developed for the analysis of photoacoustic data. Due to ethical constraints, red and blue inks that mimic the hemoglobin forms HbO2 and HbR were used. An analysis method was developed to determine the concentration ratio of ink mixtures representing the level of SpO2 with FAT.
