Özet
The design and analysis of a cylindrical phase array antenna is a difficult problem that is often limited by computational resources, cost, and time. In this paper, a computer-aided technique is proposed to accelerate the design and analysis of a circular/cylindrical array using a unit cell approach in the Ansys High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). In the proposed technique, the embedded element patterns of the cylindrical arrays are computed in a MATLAB-based framework for each elevation scan using the phase mode concept. The efficiency of the method is verified by comparing the results of the unit cell analysis of the patch antenna with the results of the full array patch antenna analysis in HFSS.
