N2 - In today's business environment, the implementation process of information system projects has deep effect on all parts of organization. Information system projects have multi-dimensional impacts, and they are evaluated regarding implementation success criteria that managers want to achieve. Because the concentration points of each department on information system become different, the importance that given to success criteria will vary from one department to another. Therefore, it is noticeable to say that it becomes a requirement for decision makers to be aware of which success criteria should be taken into consideration for each department. That also gives insights to understand which success criteria have discriminative effects on functional departments. The aim of this study is to define success criteria of information system implementations and to determine the essential differences between functional perceptions on IS project implementation success criteria. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted to managers from retailing sector to define success criteria of information system implementations. The criteria revealed as a result of factor analysis are analyzed by using artificial neural network (ANN) and multiple discriminant analysis (MDA) to investigate the effects of functional managerial perceptions on IS implementation project successes.
