abstract = "In recent years in the districts where settlement and industry stands side by side, measurement and evaluation of air quality is especially important. In this sense, facilities where open mining activities are conducted, like aggregate quarries and mining companies which are located close to settled areas may cause a high level of dust imission in the district they are located unless necessary precautions are taken. In this context, an observation and evaluation of air quality is conducted in order to determine the effects of the aggregate quarries located in Cebeci district, Istanbul and necessary precautions to diminish these effects. As part of the study, current situation is revealed by measuring up the settled dust at 4 different points and with PM10 measurements at 2 different points. Necessary precautions are designated and steps are taken to take these precautions in the facilities as a result.",
