Özet
The developments in the field of engineering education in Turkey, are discussed. In the year 1946, The Istanbul Technical University (ITU) became an autonomous university including the Faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1863, American philanthropists had founded a liberal arts school in Isanbul under the name of Robert College. Several programs of Middle East Technical University, Bilkent University and Istanbul Technical University have received substantial equivalency from the Accreditation board for Engineering and Technology.
