Özet

It was shown that the extensibility and elasticity of knitted fabrics could cause distortion and that spaces between the borders of two embroidered patterns could arise as a result of differences in yarn tension, machine speed and fabric properties. Graphs showing the effects of machine speed and thread tension on spaces in various conditions are presented. Spaces tended to decrease as machine speed increased. Lowered thread tensions helped to reduce spaces. The properties of elastomeric yarns should be determined before using them with certain types of knitted fabrics.
