Electromagnetic Diffraction of a Line Source Wave by a Slotted Cylinder With a Fractional Boundary Condition

Özet

This paper presents a numerical investigation of the electromagnetic wave diffraction by the circular arc structures subject to the fractional boundary conditions, which provide a generalized formulation beyond classical Dirichlet and Neumann types. The interaction of the electromagnetic waves radiated by a cylindrical source with a slotted circular cylinder is analyzed. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to apply fractional boundary conditions to circular geometries in this context. The impact of the boundary parameters, the aperture size, and the incidence angle on the resonance characteristics is examined. The results reveal the distinctive resonance behaviors that differ significantly from those observed with the conventional boundary models. A MATLAB-based computational framework is developed to support the theoretical analysis.
