Özet
Electro-blowing is a hybrid nanofibre production technique that overcomes some of the limitations of widely used electrospinning and solution blowing. This section provides a brief explanation of this novel approach from the aspect of process and resultant fibre properties. Specifically, the fundamental aspects of fibre production mechanisms and the impact of various parameters like electric voltage, air pressure, feed rate, nozzle to collector distance and solution concentration on the fibre diameters and morphological structure of produced nanofibrous mats are highlighted and included in this chapter. Moreover, the distinctive behaviour of electro-blown nanofibres and their diverse applications in filtration (i.e. air and water), energy, biomedical and food packaging are comprehensively discussed according to previous research findings.
