Özet
Light is dominant in defining the space and visually creating the atmosphere. Since the visual data of the environment is sent by light to people. The atmosphere of space designates emotions, and emotions modify the human’s behavior toward the environment. In this cycle, lighting aspects such as color and light color temperature are crucial. When the elements of light are changed, even if the tectonic of space remains fixed, the perception of space may be altered. This paper aims to evaluate visual impressions of light, especially the effects of color temperature changes in space perception. Thus, a two pared workshop was held for the study with novice design students. The empirical part of the workshop was based on John Flynn’s Visual Impression Scalar. For the evolution part, a survey was conducted to reveal the changes in the students’ impressions.
