Özet

Turkey is located in a region with high seismic hazard potential. As a result of the recent major earthquakes, Mw7.8 Kahramanmaras on February 6, 2023, many buildings collapsed in the region, and a significant number of casualties and economic losses occurred. As in other building classes, single-story precast RC industrial buildings in industrial zones were also heavily damaged during the earthquakes. This study evaluates the seismic vulnerability through fragility curves of the single-story precast RC industrial building class, which is widely preferred in Turkey. In this regard, existing heavily damaged precast RC structures in Adiyaman organized industrial zone were investigated. A non-linear dynamic analysis method was considered in deriving analytical-based fragility curves. While peak ground acceleration (PGA) and spectral acceleration (Sa) were taken into account as earthquake intensity parameters, Park and Ang Damage index model and maximum inter-story drift ratio were determined as damage parameters. The results obtained within the scope of the study and the post-earthquake damage distribution were examined comparatively. The limit values defined for the considered damage parameter are highly effective on the fragility curves. Subsequently, the importance of the correlation between the damage-intensity parameters, which change depending on the characteristics of the building, was also observed.
