Özet
The double melting behavior plays a key role in describing the bead foam properties and good sintering among beads. In this study, the melting behaviours of both high and low molecular-weight polyethylene terephthalate (PET) have been investigated using regular and high-pressure differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) to simulate the double peak creation in the bead foaming process. The results were obtained while changing various processing parameters such as the saturation temperature and saturation pressure. Based on the results, we were able to estimate the optimal processing window and range for achieving the double peak as well as the appropriate conditions for the bead foaming process of PET.
