Özet

The feasibility of employing sunflower oil directly as an alternative diesel fuel was studied. An experimental approach has been undertaken which will bring a solution to this subject on which a consensus has yet to be reached. The study also includes the results of the first stages of a long-term and quite comprehensive interdisciplinary research program that has been conducted by the Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Departments of Istanbul Technical University.
