The ITUVERSE Human Enabled Venus Robotic Exploration project aims to investigate Venus' mountainous regions, like Maxwell Montes, to uncover geological and atmospheric clues about terrestrial planet formation, climate, and possible biosignatures. This mission plans to deploy a rover, guided in real-time by a four-member crew orbiting Venus for 30 days, to perform geological exploration using advanced systems for cooling, communication, and data collection in Venus' extreme conditions. Set to launch from Kennedy Space Center in March 2036 via Falcon Heavy, the mission will execute a year-long aerobraking phase to enter Low Venus Orbit (LVO) by August 2037, awaiting the crew’s arrival in the next transfer window. Key technologies include a bipropellant propulsion system for efficient maneuvering, a hybrid refrigeration and aerogel insulation for rover endurance, and a RAD750 computer for robust data handling. The mission's $1 billion budget supports comprehensive design, launch, operations, and crew costs, while extensive risk mitigation strategies protect rover systems against Venus' harsh environment. Through human-robot collaboration, ITUVERSE is poised to exceed scientific objectives, delivering new insights into Venusian geology and enhancing future space exploration methods.
