Özet
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women with over one and a half million new cases occurring every year. Globally, it causes more than half million deaths each year. Thus, providing reliable, accurate and globally affordable diagnostics and treatment monitoring technology can lead to a better treatment planning and therefore decrease of the mortality rate worldwide. Due to the well-known limitations of currently used techniques, such as: inability of repeatable fashion scanning due to the X-ray tissue harmful exposure, high-cost scanning procedures, or impossibility of reliable screening for the women population under the age of 40, in this paper we are considering multi-static Microwave Imaging system as a tool for early age diagnostics and treatment monitoring [1] - [3]. More precisely, the aim of this work is to evaluate the resulting images of multiple multi-static Microwave Imaging configurations in order to establish the exact number of antennas required for the scanning as well as their position during the scanning.
