Özet

The number of ageing offshore platforms has increased globally and a substantial numbers are facing operation beyond their intended design life. Asset management programs must perform an annual assessment of the offshore structures, and if any significant change of the structural integrity of the structure be suspect, then implementation of an appropriate repair or strengthening plan must be started. Being expensive and even sometimes impossible, the experimental analysis might not be applicable in already installed offshore structures. There are a wide variety of numerical analysis, one of which is finite element analysis. In this paper finite element analysis approach is used to determine the moment capacity analysis of the tubular member.
