Özet
The non-uniform texture of the bulk power transmission system significantly influences its dynamics and calls for a clustering method to analyze and control the oscillatory stability of the system. In this paper, we develop and formulate a clustering algorithm based on coherency and modal analysis. Power flow distribution and coherency based clusters are distinguished and the existence of geographically scattered clusters is investigated. The algorithm is illustrated on a reduced order simplified model of the New England-New York interconnected system.
