Özet

The motivation behind this study originates from the wide volume of research and development in the area of chemiluminescence (CL) detection methods in general and nanomaterials (NMs) enhanced chemiluminescence detection systems in particular in recent years. This document summarizes: a) the mechanism of direct and indirect chemiluminescence methods; b) the use of different types of nanomaterials in enhanced chemiluminescence detection methods, illustrated by different reaction mechanisms. We mainly focus on gold, silver, platinum, magnetic, bimetallic and semiconductor nanomaterials. Furthermore, we review their analytical applications on the basis of range and sensitivity, and draw some useful conclusion about the most sensitive approach in analytical applications. We also discuss some critical challenges in this field and possible solutions to overcome the challenges.
