title = "Characterization of glasses in the TeO 2-WO 3-CdO system",
abstract = "Tellurite glasses are of technological interest in fiber-optic and laser applications due to their promising properties, such as relatively low-phonon energy, high refractive index, good infrared transmissivity, low crystallization ability and good thermal and chemical stability. In the present study, tellurite glasses containing tungsten oxide and cadmium oxide were prepared by conventional melt-quenching technique at 800°C. Different compositions of the (1-2x)TeO 2-xWO 3-xCdO system (0.05≤x≤ 0.20 in molar ratio) were prepared and DSC, XRD and Raman analysis were realized to investigate the thermal and structural behavior of the glass samples. The value of refractive index and density of glasses were measured. The vitrification behavior of glasses was investigated in terms of glass stability.",
