Özet
Determining the most important affecting factors on performance of marineengineers is an essential and crucial process of executive ship management. Ithelps decision makers to focus on factors that have the highest weight and findthe best policy to increase. These factors include; education quality andeducation level, environmental factors, milieux, climatic factors, etc., all ofwhich are subjective. In other words, the problem can be analyzed in the form ofmulti-criteria decision making. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) isan appropriate method for multi-criteria decision making problem since humanjudgment about the importance of the factors is generally abstruse and vague. Inthe literature, there are few methods that handle fuzzy pairwise comparisonmatrix. In this study, it is aimed to modify Chang's AHP method and modifiedmethodology is used for evaluatin procedure.
