Özet

In the present study, we concentrate on the problem of optimization and the usage of green times for pedestrian traffic at crosswalks. We conduct a simulation based study that is calibrated with the field data collected. We propose a frame for the signal controllers in an adaptive fashion. Result from micro-simulation strengthens the finding that a trade-off between the pedestrian travel times and vehicles’ delays has to be made.
