Özet
This study investigates the effectiveness of the use of electromagnetic (EM) pulses for object characterization and shape reconstruction by measurement of pulse echoes from the object in specific points. The near-field distribution of the total electric field is examined in order to optimize the incident pulse parameters. Additionally, an approach is introduced to estimate object shape. The results demonstrate the ability to accurately reconstruct shapes for elliptical cylinders.
