Özet
The increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions has driven the development of efficient energy storage and power management technologies. The Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter stands out due to its bidirectional power flow, galvanic isolation, and high power density. This paper analyzes the DAB converter with a focus on the Triple Phase Shift (TPS) modulation technique, which improves control flexibility. The study explores optimization strategies to minimize inductor RMS current while considering system losses and soft-switching constraints. The results show that soft-switching can restrict the optimization algorithm and cause inefficient results in some operating points. Nevertheless, switches can throw away the heat and work with minimal efficiency changes without soft-switching.
