Özet
In solid-state power amplifiers, high power levels are achieved through power combining. Spatial power combining is one of the N-way combining techniques that utilizes waveguides. The transition from waveguide to microstrip can be accomplished using an antipodal transition. In this paper, the design of an antipodal finline transition in a coaxial waveguide medium is examined in terms of the main parameters that affect its performance. An optimized design is proposed, offering broadband performance from 2 to 18 GHz with low insertion loss.
